I don’t know where to start here, we had a perfect stay from start to finish. We arrived for check in on Saturday evening, met with a very warm welcome and a very smooth check in. The location is beautiful, the surrounding grounds very tranquil and pretty to explore. The white horse sightseeing spot is very close by, both walkable and drivable. The venue itself it’s gorgeous, very cosy and homely vibes which is exactly what we were looking for. The room itself was stunning, cosy and warm with an exceptionally comfy bed, a place to sit and enjoy a drink and the biggest shower! Fast and free Wi-Fi and access to main channels on TV. We had an evening meal which was beautiful! The best garlic mushrooms we’ve ever had, we had the garlic mushrooms, pâté, lamb chop, steak pie and even managed a pudding. Every single thing was perfect, zero complaints about anything. Pricing is exactly what we expected for the area and quality. The sleep was perfect, no loud noises from the road or areas surrounding. Breakfast the next morning was delightful, the cooked breakfast was fantastic and plenty of toast, tea and coffee for everyone. Check out was smooth and I honestly can’t wait to be back. Even planning to book for my birthday!
Fantastic location for this pub/hotel with easy access to all the attractions this area has to offer. The pub has a good selection of beverages on offer and the dining menu is quite varied. Breakfast is a very good affair with chef James at the helm. Rooms are good and clean but quirky and the bed was comfortable and gave a good night's sleep.
We had the most wonderful stay at the Forresters Arms. The food was delicious, the bedroom was gorgeous, the service was fantastic and most importantly our dog was welcomed with open arms. We would recommend anyone to stay here and visit the beautiful surroundings.
